The Greater Essex County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., has chosen Interfaith Hospitality Network of Essex County to be the charitable recipient for their sixth Biennial Harvest Ball, "A Global Affair, For A Local Cause."
During the past 10 years, Greater Essex raised over $150,000 to fulfill the missions of seven charitable organizations. The Chapter is hoping to continue this tradition, aiming to make Harvest Ball 2012 a record-breaking success.
IHN Executive Director Tia Aery states, “We are honored to be chosen as Jack and Jill’s charitable recipient for 2012. This group of energetic, philanthropically-minded individuals have impressed me with their desire to make positive change in our community. With their actions, they are improving life for IHN families in crisis.”
This past year, Jack and Jill has partnered with IHN by adopting seven IHN families for Christmas, providing a $1,500 scholarship award to a college bound student, and including IHN families in a recent health and wellness fair that promoted healthy nutrition and fitness.
The Harvest Ball will take place on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at the Westminster Hotel, 550 West Mount Pleasant, Livingston, N.J. To support the event and promote its success, you may purchase tickets and/or journal ads.
